โVarious studies conducted by CI-TL have shown that these areas are rich in marine biodiversity, including marine megafauna species such as
To ensure the sustainable management of these Marine Protected Areas, it is essential to strengthen the local economy and community livelihoods, particularly for communities that depend on marine resources as their primary source of daily needs.

โIn response to these needs, the Government and CI-TL have provided Small Grants to community groups to support local initiatives, promote the sustainable use of marine resources, and strengthen community participation in conservation efforts.
This initiative also contributes to strengthening community-based governance through the implementation of Tara Bandu, promoting shared responsibility for protecting marine ecosystems and sustainably managing natural resources.
