Lasting conservation depends on strong national systems — from effective governance and resilient markets to sustainable livelihoods and education. This program strengthens the enabling environment that allows conservation to succeed at scale.
We work with government, communities, and partners to expand and connect protected areas, promote climate-smart agriculture, and support nature-based livelihoods for women and youth. We also advance sustainable energy solutions, including community woodlots and improved regulation, to reduce pressure on natural forests.
By strengthening policy frameworks, market systems, and local capacity, we help create the conditions for conservation to deliver long-term benefits for people and nature.
